Go with a classic american V-8 super easy. I started with a 7mGTE oh man what a motor. Did a roller cam EFI 5.0/302 after that and it was CAKE.

Can't be that bad. I would try it if it wasn't my money. If something went wrong I would assume the person who took it apart didn't keep track of exactly which hole each piston, lifter, etc came from. Or make a sweet coffee table out of it.
